So, for a while, some friends and I have been creating something on RPG maker where we wanted to actually expand past the limits that the basic defaut stuff that RPG maker gives. So we are actually creating our own tilesets, out sprites, composing our own music which I am doing through a program called Finale, writing our own scripts for the battles and stuff so you won’t have the typical look in battles and so forth, would probably even have our own interface for menus and so forth. We’d essentially can you make money by creating rpg assets everything and use RPG maker really just to put everything. Now I looked through the greenlight and it kind of makes me sad when I see comments from games that are like «RPG Maker

If you need to use screenshots, that’s ok so long as is illustrates your issues. Do not solicit employment. No paid assets. Use reddit ads instead. Free assets OK, be sure to specify license. I am not a programmer. It looks pretty robust. I would like to make my own RPG and sell it on Steam. I have a lot of ideas for how to make a fun and funny game. I don’t want to sell it for a lot of money, maybe three dollars per copy or something like that. B Would any forum members here be interested in alpha and beta testing it? You would of course receive a free copy of the final game for your trouble. This means high quality artwork, sounds music, a good plot etc, plus a good trailer, marketing campaign, adverts etc. Without these any game released on steam is dead in the water no matter what engine or toolkit it’s made in.

Yes, you can make commercial projects with the resources provided both in the base software as well as the official resource packs in their store as long as you do not sell the resources by themselves.
Game developers are making more moneyaccording to a recent study from Developer Economics. Mkae pathways for generating income are diversifying. The report says advertising is paying less, as are in-app loot boxes for both game currency and things like extra levels. The subscription model is showing promise for game developers, as is selling branded merchandise. But developers are crating making money from other developers. One of the more lucrative methods for generating income is selling services to other developers. Streaming and cryptocurrency are also generating income. With more players streaming their achievements for an audience, developers are paying them to play their games as a form of promotion.
