That hardly seems worth the effort especially if people do not feel obligated to tip since it’s uber. Is there surge pricing like driving people around? Or is that it? It’s just a lot of bullshit and legwork with no tips!!! Of course How nice of us Due to all of those obstacles, there’s only a finite amount of deliveries you can accomplish. From my experience, it’s usually mostly 2 per hour, 3 if you’re flying, and no obstacles. In the end, it isn’t going to be much. So far I’ve only done 2 deliveries and both times people met me outside. They were there before I even got there.

I am looking to quit my job and while I decide on where I want to go next I wanted to see if I could meet expenses doing something like driving for Uber? My Only concern is that when I open the app I see tons of cars right on top of each other. So even if people want rides, I am afraid I’d just sit there and get no business. There’s a lot of competition, plus Uber just lowered their rates again. Moved here in April with no job. It helped me survive by helping me with the extra money needed to survive but after 4 months it became not enough. I would look into Lyft. I feel like there is a surplus of Uber drivers but Lyft seem to be more scarce. This is because Lyft drivers have to go thru more extensive onboarding vs their Uber counterparts. Uber will let anyone drive for them, it’s ridiculous. The Lyft onboarding when I did it took about two weeks to complete whereas Uber had me onboarded in 24 hours. My experience as a rider has been that the Lyft overall rate for a ride is cheaper, but Lyft gives you the option to tip the driver afterwards.

As long as those drivers complete a certain amount of deliveries, you can continue to earn bonuses. Idle time is a waste of time and a waste of money.
Although that article extensively broke down my earnings, I figured it was time to update it. Less traffic means less waiting and more paid miles you can put on your vehicle, thus increasing your earnings. Related article: how Uber drivers are making hundreds of extra dollars per month. Could be a fun side-gig, but I’ve heard the money really isn’t great. The few Uber drivers I’ve talked to about it say after factoring in petrol and extra maintenance, you’re lucky to make the equivalent of minimum wage. But in all honesty I did it a while back hardly worth the money when you take in all the factors with gst, maintenance, fuel etc I read one analyst describing it as a pay day loan. Reddkt small amount of money up mucj with long term costs deffered to the future You’d be better off investing in any kind of long term work I would also avoid any kind of franchise these days Have you factored in all your costs? Car loan interest payments? Income tax liability?
